Do we love the Jazz or hate them? It's a question that I ask myself almost everyday, but overall I'm a lifelong lover. I have a dream that one day the Jazz will win a championship, but to achieve this hefty goal I believe that we need to have a minimum of two marquee players in the system to conquer the powerhouses of Orlando, Cleveland, and L.A.
It's obvious that Deron Williams is our captain of the ship, the face of the franchise and the first marquee player or piece to the battleship; but who is the second that will allow us to set sail and really create some damage?
Carlos Boozer is a two time All Star and an Olympic gold medal winner and an obvious answer to most to be the second marquee player, but he was virtually not to be found in the Olympics and not a factor in the victory. I don't think that we can rely on Boozer over the long term to wait for him to show up and be a consistent contributing roll in our efforts to sail towards victory. Sure he puts up big numbers when he plays, but it’s WHEN HE PLAYS! When Carlos came to Utah I jumped right on his ship and bought the jersey, but throughout his stay he has been plagued with injuries all throughout his career. He is known around the league as the All Star that doesn't play through anything...unless it's resign time. This is the biggest reason why we cannot afford to pay big money for Boozer the Loser.
Memo, A.K, Millsap, and Matthews are all a great part of the crew (roll players), which are very needed assets to our team's success but not the answer to our biggest issue and void in our roster. Who is the second commanding officer on this battleship? We have New York’s first round draft pick to look forward to help us fill this void. Hopefully we can get someone within the draft and create a package deal to acquire a big name to Utah, such as Joe Johnson or Amare Stoudamire.
In order to stand up to the big boys in a seven game series we Must have a second marquee player. One who we can count on night in and night out without question, rain or shine. Coach Sloan philosophy says "team ball wins championships" but how many championships has he won again? Without two commanding officers, our battleship will continue to sail to uncharted waters and we will be lost in the abyss…once again.

There were two captains last night! I agree, If Booz is on his game... "SET SAIL!" It's when he's not that things get a little dicey.
I agree about needing another big name; however, not so sure I like Joe Johnson or Amare for that matter. Joe and Amare are little divas that care more about themselves then the team... what a minute that kinda sounds like old Boozer!?!!
Boozer the loser is a cry baby, and almost outweighs Shaq (ie toe injury)for his excuses to sit. The real question is will the Jazz resign him, now that America knows that no one wants him?
