The race to the finish line.

The Utah Jazz find themselves sitting in the 3rd spot in the West for the time being, and hope to keep it that way for the next 24 hours. Tonight the Jazz beat the Golden State Warriors thanks to Millsaps stepping up and taking over for the injured Carlos Boozer with 24 rebounds and 10 deuces. Memo and Deron also played well with the role players coming off the bench and doing their part as well. Overall it was a good victory for theJazz and I hope that we can just compose ourselves enough to focus on the huge task ahead of us tomorrow night when we face the Phoenix Suns, who embarrassed the Nuggets 123-101 and was never close.

Keys to tomorrow nights victory are 1-Contain Amare (if thats even possible) limit the fast breaks and guarding the 3 ball. Everyone knows that the Suns live and die off of the three ball and all five positions can shoot out there so we need to actually get away from the usual Sloan ball and guard the three tomorrow night.

If Boozer, Memo, Deron, and a hopeful A.K. don't show up tomorrow night we are throwing ourselves under the bus. We have to come prepared for a hard fought 48 minutes or we'll get run off of our home court.

Just so that everyone is clear if we win tomorrow night we will see Portland in the first round, with the loss we will most likely see the Nuggets, our rivals. But I feel that we matchup better and have a better shot at winning the Portland series than we do Denver. Both will be tough no doubt but Portland is a little more banged up and we could take advantage of that.

GO JAZZ!!!

If we had AK I would feel a lot better! We seem to play them pretty well though. I just hope Booz is going to be OK for the playoffs!
