Hope you are ready for some UTES FOOTBALL! Tomorrow is the annual Red and White game for the University of Utah. The game will put an end to spring ball and we will all have to wait until the fall to get some more college football. The Utes have some holes to fill on their roster with the departure of the senior class. Some of the name you will not see this year that were on the team last year are: WRs- David Reed, Aiona Key, John Peel, OL – Zane Beadles, DL- Koa Misi, LBs- Stevenson Sylvester, Mike Wright, S- Joe Dale, and Robert Johnson. Most of those guys were starters!
Most college football fans would agree that if you have a good QB and a good RB you have the makings of a good team. That being said the Utes are looking forward to a great sophomore season from QB Jordan Wynn. He has looked good in spring ball completing 56% of his passes for 351 yards and 4 TD, over the course of two scrimmages. What is more interesting is that Terrance Cain is play even better completing 64% of his passes for 524 yards and 6 TDs. Of course we have to keep in mind that Wynn is going against first string defense while Cain is getting the second string. Our running game should be good again this year with the return of 35 year old Matt Asiata to the team… Ok so he isn’t really 35 years old but this guys seem to always have a chance at one more season due to injuries! Interesting note the Utes recuirted Matt’s little brother Shawn, who is also a running back! Shawn like his brother is no light weight at 6’ and 248 pounds!! Also look for Sausan Shakerin to finally start taking a bigger role in the offense this season.
One other position that looks really strong is our Defensive line! Returning 3 of 4 starters on the defensive line! It should be fun to watch who steps up at LB and also in the secondary! Can’t wait to see how the scrimmage goes!!!
This song gets me going every time I hear it! Just listened to at work and was clapping through the whole thing!!!
GO UTES!!

This fight song just makes me want fall to come around so we can go to the game and shout Go Utes following a touchdown!
It makes me want to kick myself in the throat! Ha! Ha! JK. This Rivalry is a huge piece of what makes these two teams fun to watch. Jordan is gonna be good! He'll be fun to watch!
