If Williams has any reputation around the league it is that he always plays better with a chip on his shoulder. Case in point;
1- His dominance over Chris Paul after everyone and there dog (including Michael Jordan) Said the Jazz made a mistake in drafting Williams over Paul... Williams has put Paul to shame just about every time they have met.

2- The multiple misses on the all star team... Deron's play after the all star break is ridiculous! When he misses the all star team he puts it to whomever gets in his way. Do you remember when he came back after missing the team in 09 and busted off a streak of five games in a row in which he scored 30+ points and shot over 50 percent from the field (1/31/09-2/11/09).

Bottom line: "Bulletin board" stuff really does work for some players!
