My first draft option for the Jazz.

Ok Jazz fans the chances of us getting the #1 overall pick is slim but what if we see ourselves sitting in the #4 spot? This would be a magical miracle. We could then make a move on who I believe would be the answer to all of our issues. DeMarcus Cousins! Take a look at his highlight video.

I know that he is young and has only been at Kentucky for a year but we are talking about the answer to all of our prayers. A big man who has a post game, can run the floor and finish, one who is not afraid to dive on the floor for a loose ball, has great hands and just happens to be a complete package rapped up in an NBA ready 6' 11" 280 lbs frame. DeMarcus would also bring that toughness to the squad that we are lacking. He has a swagger and little bit of thug in him that the Jazz need. He is a force in the paint which will transfer to him being force in the league in 2 years. If we get a top 5 pick, I propose Demarcus Cousins.

I would love it if we landed Cousin! My only concern is he is not a Sloan kind of guy. I have read that he is not a real hard worker and is a bit of a head case! I would still take him because the potential reward out weighs the risk but he would not play a lot next year. Turner is a Sloan type for sure! He scores, rebounds, passes, and plays defense.... Maybe Cole Aldrich is more the type that Sloan would like... what do you think?

I think that the pros outweigh the cons for sure with Cousins. His height and weight alone with an athletic body is huge! But you are also right that Aldrich would be a better fit for the system, but he's almost undersized at 245 to be a center.

The upside of Cole is he seems to be more "d" minded...

Don't forget that length is what kills us every time we play the Laker's. Cousin's has the largest wingspan (7'6") of any top player in the draft or on the Jazz roster (Big Fes 7'4"). Combine that with the developed skills and raw talent and I think based off of that he is a shoe in. Sure attitude is a concern but if anyone on the league can get the most out of him it would be Sloan.
