B R E A K O U T S OF THE 2010-11 NBA SEASON

Rondo was the toast of the town, and the toast of the League last year. I for one was a huge fan. He is the perfect example of a guy that had a break out year. It seems to happen every year, and this year will be no different.

Here are the players to watch for to have a break out year.

Demarcus Cousins:

Can a rookie have a break out year? Yea, It's called Rookie of the year! This MAN is a beast. He has an attitude that fuels his "chip on the shoulder" style of play. He plays as though he has a personal vendetta against everyone he matches up with. He will shoot an incredibly high shooting percentage this year while playing with dominance from day one. My take: 19 pts., 8 rbds., & 2 blocks in 28+ minutes a night. Kings will miss the playoffs, but will be in the mix in two years!

Javale Mcgee:

This is my put all your eggs in one basket, mortgage the farm, bet the house, guaranteed lock. Everything he needs to explode he will get in 10'-11'. A hot new #1 pick in John Wall. A team on the rise in a city that is going to have a lot of excitement. A bunch of extra minutes. A freakishly large AND athletic build. And a little time under his belt in the League. My take: he goes 17 pts., 9 rbds., & 2.5 blocks a night in his new role of 25+ minutes.

Al Jefferson:

 HOMER! Yea, I know. But after bringing Al to the Jazz's heavily used PF offense, he will put up some freakish #'s! If he can tie into the system right away, and especially if Fez can play some good time at the 5, Al will score, and score a LOT! My take: 24pts., 11rbds., and 2 blocks a night. P.S. It will be interesting to see if Al can increase his D this year... His first two years he played some strong D for the Celtics, but seemingly slowed it down due to the high amount of fouls he got as a rooking and a 2nd year guy.

Hasheem Thabeet:

He is one bad year away from being considered a total bust, but he has also shown improvement in confidence and consistency each year as well. I would of loved to of seen the Jazz go after this guy this off season because his stock is pretty low right now. It wont be so low after this coming season! This will be his make or break year. I think it will be a make. My take: he will become a much better defender and a moderate scorer. If Memphis will give him 22 min or more a night, he will put up 13pts., 10 rbds., and 3+ blocks!


Honorable mention:
Taj Gibson: Boozer will eat up some of his minutes, but the kid can play!
Darren Collison: Again a true starter playing behind an all star minute hog... let this kid go somewhere were he can play! We saw what he can do last year!
