The Denver Broncos started out hot last year and finished ice cold! They will be looking to get some help with this year’s draft. As you read other mock drafts you will find out that everyone and their dogs think they will pick Wide Receiver Dez Bryant from Oklahoma State; which is something I do not agree with. Although their offense was not amazing last it was good enough and in my opinion it was their defense that could not keep up.
I have never been big on drafting players in the first round that are going to come in and play second fiddle to a star. That is what the Broncos will be doing if they pick Bryant. I know everyone is thinking that Brandon Marshall is going to be gone either this year or for sure next year…. Worry about it next year. Plus last I saw Bryant has all the makings of being Divas just like Marshall and that will not fly with Josh McDaniel. One other point they still have Eddie Royal who had a great rookie season when they had a good QB throwing to him.
Ok so what are they going to do you ask... Pick a defensive stud! I would have them going for a DT but they just signed Jamal Williams for the Chargers. They will add some youth to the D-line but that will be later in the draft. I have them going with ILB Rolando McClain from Alabama. This guy was the anchor of the Crimson Tide defense and will do the same for the Broncos.
