So using Draftexpress.com's evaluations, here is what they think you can expect from the top 7 bigs (I didn't include the European, because unless he IS the next Gasol, I don't want to even look at him!) I really like this because it allows for a less accurate, but hopefully a more tangible comparison . All stat lines are taken from that players "prime year" so far.
Explanation of "safe bet":
Safe bet is simply the average of that player's "worst case" and "best case" comparison players.
Per min:
I believe this is the best evaluator of usable talent. Given the fact that every player in the NBA isn't divided out the exact same minutes of playing time like in Jr. Jazz or is even physically able to play the same amount of minutes, this allows to compare on a per minute bases.
Here are a few "per minute" lines so you can wrap your head around it:
Lebron James: .7 points .18 rebounds .03 blocks
Dwight Howard: .5 points .36 rebounds .06 blocks
Lamar Oden: .42 points .25 rebounds .03 blocks

Dang that was great! Makes me wonder if the Jazz should gamble on Daniel Orton from Kentucky. I have watch some of his high school highlights and he looks pretty athletic for a big guy. He could have more potential than Cole or Greg... what do you think dignan?
Yea, I can see Orton becoming a real contender. I'd like to see his true size. I hear he's undersized a bit... but he does have great closing quickness. You know who turned my head a little... Derrick Favors. I'm still not completely sold on him, but if he can end up like Antonio Mcdyess, wow!
What a great resource!
